Nagomi Kobo's Thoughts

"Nagomi Kobo" is a new specialized site for Buddhist altars and Buddhist altar accessories produced by staff from a long-established Kyoto Buddhist altar and Buddhist altar accessories company.
Since ancient times, every Japanese home has had a Buddhist altar, where a Buddhist altar was placed and people would pray to it morning and evening. It was a place where the family gathered, and it was a daily opportunity to feel gratitude to Buddha and ancestors.
It is unfortunate that this custom is disappearing as family structures have changed in the past, but it has been passed down for a long time in the hearts and minds of Japanese people and remains a part of their consciousness.
Nagomi Kobo was opened with the hope of making Buddhist altars more accessible to customers in this current world, and of offering products that are as affordable as possible for our customers.
We believe that maintaining feelings of gratitude to Buddha and respect for our ancestors will enrich our lives, enrich society, and even lead to world peace. We hope to continue to be a place where Nagomi Kobo can bring peace of mind to our customers.

Staff Introduction

Store Manager: Kazuhiro Kawabe

I was born and raised in Kyoto, and have been here for over half a century. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with this company, which was founded in Kyoto, and have been indebted to them for over a quarter of a century. Since joining the company, I have been in charge of temples, handling Buddhist altar equipment for temples and traveling all over the country. Now, with the opening of "Nagomi Kobo," I hope to use what I have learned so far to serve the various people I come into contact with, and I look forward to meeting new people.
